On the afternoon of May 7, a symposium on friendly exchanges and cooperation between Shantou City and Vietnam’s Can Tho City was held in Shantou City, aiming to further promote high-level exchanges and cooperation between the two cities on different fronts including education, industry, agriculture, economy, trade, and investment, and to bring the friendly city relations to a new height.

During their stay in Shantou, the delegation from Can Tho City visited the Shantou Integrated Free Trade Zone, Offshore Wind Power Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park with “four integrations” (the integration of R&D and design; the integration of technological processes; the integration of production and manufacturing; and the integration of testing and certification), Shanghai Electric Wind Power Guangdong Co., Ltd., and the Port-opening Area of Shantou Small Park. Next year will mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the friendly city relations between Shantou City and Vietnam’s Can Tho City. At that time, Can Tho City will hold a commemorative event to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the signing of the cooperation agreement between the two cities, for the purpose of further deepening the friendly relations and strengthening mutual exchanges and cooperation.

　　汕头市与越南芹苴市友好交流合作座谈会举行

　　5月7日下午，汕头市与越南芹苴市友好交流合作座谈会在我市举行，旨在进一步促进两市在教育、工业、农业、经贸、投资等领域的高层次、多领域交流与协作，助推友好城市关系迈上新台阶。

　　在汕期间，芹苴市代表团一行参观访问了汕头综合保税区、“四个一体化”海上风电装备制造产业园和上海电气风电广东有限公司，还前往小公园开埠区参观。明年是汕头市与越南芹苴市缔结友好城市关系20周年，芹苴市将举办两市签署合作协议20周年纪念活动，进一步深化友好关系，加强交流合作。
