From June 2 to 5, Shantou City hosted the 10th Nan'ao Science Conference "Carbon-neutral Chemistry and Chemical Technology Innovation" Forum and Shantou Industry-University-Research "Face-to-Face" Special Matchmaking Meeting for Fine Chemical Industry. Forty experts and scholars from the chemistry and chemical industry gathered in Nan'ao County to discuss the major scientific issues and key technological bottlenecks of the chemistry and chemical industry with regard to China’s national "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" strategy and global climate issues, and to explore the direction of innovation in the chemistry and chemical industry.

Focusing on the cutting-edge interdisciplinary areas of "Carbon-neutral Chemistry and Chemical Technology Innovation", this conference conducted multi-perspective, in-depth exchanges, for the purpose of promoting technical and academic exchanges and cooperation among research institutes, higher-education institutions, and enterprises in the carbon-neutral chemistry and chemical industry. Next, the Nanao Science Conference will host the Shuangqing Forum - Youth Science Forum, to attract top scientists and promising young talents from home and abroad to conduct academic exchanges in Shantou.

　　汕头市举办南澳科学会议第十次会议

　　6月2日至5日，我市举办南澳科学会议第十次会议“碳中和化学化工技术创新”研讨会暨汕头市产学研“面对面”精细化工产业专场对接会，来自国内数十所高等院校和研究机构的近四十位化学化工领域专家学者齐聚南澳，共商国家“双碳”战略需求和全球气候问题中的化学化工重大科学问题和关键技术难题，探讨化学化工行业的革新方向。

　　本次会议聚焦“碳中和化学化工技术创新”前沿交叉领域，展开多角度、深层次交流，推动科研院校与企业在碳中和化学化工领域的技术学术交流与合作。下来南澳科学会议还将承接双清论坛的青年科学论坛，吸引海内外顶尖科学家和青年英才来汕开展学术交流。
