Recently, the unveiling ceremony of Shantou Base for Exchanges with Taiwan was held at the Wei Zheng Memorial Hall, with the participation of Wei clan relatives from both sides of the Straits and more than 40 compatriots from Taiwan.

The Wei Zheng Memorial Hall in Shantou City is located in Gangbei Community, Yuxin Sub-district, Haojiang District. It has now become a platform base for cultural exchange, academic seminars, anti-corruption education, and renewing relevant people’s affection for their hometown. The establishment of Shantou Base for Exchanges with Taiwan has added a new highlight to the profound cultural heritage of the Wei Zheng Memorial Hall, endowing it with the connotation of cross-Strait exchanges and integrated development. Shantou Base for Exchanges with Taiwan will become an important bridge for showcasing the charm of Chinese culture, forging closer bonds between Chinese people on both sides, and improving their well-being.

　　近日，魏徵纪念馆汕头市对台交流基地举行揭牌仪式，来自海峡两岸的魏氏宗亲和宝岛台湾的40多位同胞参加活动。

　　汕头市魏徵纪念馆坐落于濠江区玉新街道岗背社区，现已成为文化交流、学术研讨、廉政教育、连结乡情的平台基地。设立为对台交流基地，为该馆深厚的文化底蕴添上了浓墨重彩的一笔，赋予了两岸交流融合发展内涵，将成为展示中华文化魅力、推动心灵相通、增进两岸民众福祉的重要桥梁。
