On the morning of July 30, the 2024 “Chinese Root-Seeking Tour” Summer Camp (Guangdong Shantou Camp), which was sponsored by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and organized by the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and the Shantou Municipal Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, held its opening ceremony. A total of 17 \campers of Chinese descent from the United States would embark on a 10-day Chaoshan Culture Root-seeking Tour.

During this Root-Seeking Tour, the campers would not only attend Chinese traditional culture courses such as paper-cutting and tea art, but also study Chaoshan culture with local characteristics, including the production of peach-shaped kueh, seal engraving, Yingge dance, and Chao Opera.Through the “Chinese Root-Seeking Tour” summer camp activity, the campers can develop a deeper understanding of China’s development achievements and cultural heritage, enhance their recognition and appreciation of the unique charm of Chinese culture, and better present Chinese culture to the world.

　　2024中国寻根之旅夏令营（广东汕头营）举行开营仪式

　　7月30日上午，由中国侨联主办，广东省侨联、汕头市侨联承办的2024中国寻根之旅夏令营（广东汕头营）举行开营仪式，来自美国的17名华裔营员将开展为期10天的寻根潮汕文化之旅。

　　此次寻根之旅，营员们除了学习剪纸、茶艺等中国传统文化课程之外，还将学习潮汕地方特色文化，包括红桃粿制作、镌刻印章、英歌舞、潮剧等。通过“中国寻根之旅”夏令营活动，让营员们增加对中国发展成就和文明底蕴的了解，增进对中华文化独特魅力的认知和感受，推动中华文化更好走向世界。
