A few days ago, a delegation from Taiwan's universities visited Shantou to carry out educational and cultural exchange activities. The Delegation consisted of more than 80 teachers and students from the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, National Chung Cheng University, National University of Kaohsiung, National University of Tainan, TransWorld University and other universities in Taiwan. During the activities, the Delegation visited Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and Shantou University, visited in detail the landmark buildings and teaching and research facilities of the universities, and held symposiums for academic and cultural exchanges. During their stay in Shantou, the Delegation also visited some historical and cultural attractions on Nan'ao Island, and went to Shantou Technician College to carry out vocational skills exchange activities.

This event aims to support and encourage young students from both sides of the Taiwan Straits to continue to enhance mutual understanding, strengthen mutual learning and deepen their friendship, and to further facilitate the regular contact mechanism between universities in Shantou and Taiwan Province, and to promote educational and cultural exchanges.

台湾高校参访团莅汕参观交流

        日前，台湾高校参访团来汕开展教育文化交流活动。参访团由来自云林科技大学、中正大学、高雄大学、台南大学、环球科技大学等台湾地区高校的八十多位师生组成。活动中，参访团一行先后走访广东以色列理工学院、汕头大学，详细参观学校标志建筑、教学科研设施等，并召开座谈会，进行学术文化交流。在汕期间，参访团还参观走访了南澳岛多个历史文化景点，并到汕头技师学院开展职业技能交流活动。

        此次活动旨在支持鼓励两岸青年学生继续增进了解、互学互鉴、深化友谊，进一步促成汕台两地高校常态化联系机制，促进教育文化交流。
