The World’s First 16-Megawatt Offshore Wind Low-Frequency Turbine Rolls off the Production Line in Shantou

Recently, the world’s first 16-megawatt offshore wind low-frequency turbine successfully rolled off the production line at the Electric Wind Power Shantou Manufacturing Base. This turbine is another innovative product customized and developed for the low-frequency power transmission market by applying 20-Hz low-frequency power transmission technology on the basis of the Electric Wind Power Sea God Platform. It will be applied to the Zhejiang offshore wind power low-frequency demonstration project.


The 16-megawatt ultra-large-capacity offshore wind turbine is already at the forefront of industry technology, coupled with targeted low-frequency design, which can reduce the overall risk of the product and better meet market demand. Flexible low-frequency AC transmission technology is a new type of power transmission technology independently innovated by China, and it is an important technical direction to cope with current scenarios such as long-distance power transmission for outer ocean area, consumption of large-capacity new energy power, and enhancement of regional weak current networks in the wind power industry.

  全球首台16兆瓦级海上风电低频机组在汕下线

  近日,全球首台16兆瓦级海上低频机组在电气风电汕头制造基地成功下线。该机组是在电气风电海神平台基础上应用20赫兹低频输电技术,面向低频输电市场定制化开发的又一款创新型产品,将应用于浙江海上风电低频示范项目。

  16兆瓦级别大容量风电机组已处在行业技术前沿,叠加针对性的低频设计,能减少产品的整体风险,更好满足市场需求。柔性低频交流输电技术是我国自主原始创新的新型输电技术,是应对当前风电行业中远海长距离输电、大容量新能源电力消纳、区域弱电网增强等场景的重要技术方向。
