On October 8, the 10-day Railway Transportation Week of National Day Holiday was successfully concluded. Shantou Railway Station welcomed and saw off more than 530,000 passengers, a year-on-year increase of 19%, setting a new historical high for the daily average passenger flow by railway during the Golden Week of National Day Holiday transportation at Shantou Railway Station over the years.
In order to enhance the travel experience of passengers, Shantou Railway Station, based on the use of the new station building, has strengthened diversified service measures, improved safety, guidance, and service signs within the Station, and strengthened inspections on the operating conditions of elevators, security checks, air conditioning and other equipment and facilities; promptly added the number of security check channels based on changes in passenger flow, improved the efficiency of passengers entering the Station, facilitated passengers to enter the Station quickly, and offered services for key passengers such as the elderly, children, the sick, the disabled, and pregnant women. During the National Day holiday, Shantou Railway Station gave fully play to the role of the "Golden Phoenix" service posts and service teams, accepting 60 online reservation services for key passengers and handling 247 cases of lost items for passengers.

新汕头站国庆“首秀”客流火爆
10月8日,为期10天的铁路国庆周运输圆满收官,汕头站累计迎送旅客超53万人次,同比增长19%,创下历年汕头站国庆黄金周运输日均发送、到达客流历史新高。
为提升旅客出行体验,汕头站在新站房投入使用基础上,加强多元化服务举措,完善站内安全、引导、服务标识,加强电梯、安检、空调等设备设施运行状况巡检;根据客流变化及时增加安检通道数量,提高旅客进站效率,方便旅客快速进站,并做好老幼病残孕等重点旅客服务工作。国庆假期,汕头站发挥“金凤”服务岗和服务队的作用,受理线上重点旅客预约服务60单,处理旅客遗失物品247单。
