On October 30, GDToday Shantou Channel was officially launched online, and a series of foreign-oriented publicity activities themed "Uniting Global Teochew People • Embracing Shantou" were also launched simultaneously. This Channel will enhance Shantou’s foreign-oriented publicity work by focusing on Shantou’s economic and social development and important events such as "Two Grand Conventions" (the 22th  Teochew International Convention and the 10th  World Chaoshan Entrepreneurs Convention), contribute to Shantou’s new round of global marketing for its city image, promote and present a brand-new Shantou to the world, and drive more overseas Chinese to pay attention to Shantou, invest in Shantou, and support Shantou.

During the "Two Grand Conventions", GDToday Shantou Channel will send the most capable and experienced professionals to reach the widest possible overseas audiences in Chinese, English, Chaoshan dialect and other languages. In addition, it will invite renowned photographers such as Pulitzer Prize winners to Shantou to shoot and gather information, and in collaboration with major Chinese media outlets around the world, widely distribute the "invitations" to global Teochew people, for the purpose of attracting their attention to the "Two Grand Conventions".

　　GDToday汕头频道正式上线

　　10月30日，GDToday（今日广东）汕头频道正式上线，“潮聚·向汕”外宣系列活动也同步启动。该频道将紧密配合我市“两大盛会”等重要活动及经济社会发展做好对外宣传工作，助力汕头开展新一轮城市形象宣传，向全球宣介和展现一个全新的汕头，带动更多海外华侨华人关注汕头、投资汕头、支持汕头。

　　“两大盛会”期间，GDToday汕头频道将派出一批精英，通过中文、英文、潮汕话等多种语言面向海外各类受众进行宣介，邀请普利策新闻奖获得者等知名摄影师来汕拍摄采风，同时联动全球主要华文媒体广派“喜帖”，邀请全球潮人共同关注“两大盛会”。
