The 2nd National Ethnic Instrumental Music Performance and The Moon Over a Fountain • Wuxi Ethnic Music Gathering recently kicked off in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province.On the evening of November 25, Shantou Chaozhou Music Troupe participated in the Performance with two distinctive Teochew music pieces: "Thrush Jumping on the Frame" (Teochew small drums and gongs), and "Lady Liu Qing Niang" (Chaozhou String Music), and was awarded the honor of "Excellent Music Combination".
In addition to participating in theater performance, Shantou Chaozhou Music Troupe also participated in the Event of Art Entering Communities themed "Appreciating Folk Music at Doorsteps". The Troupe leader Yu Qiongying participated in the expert symposium themed "Evaluating Performances One by One", and the wonderful performance of Shantou Chaozhou Music Troupe was unanimously praised by experts.

汕头潮乐团在第二届全国民族器乐展演中获殊荣
第二届全国民族器乐展演暨二泉映月·无锡民族音乐汇近日在江苏无锡开幕。11月25日晚，汕头潮乐团以潮州小锣鼓《画眉跳架》、潮州细乐《柳青娘》两个独具潮汕特色的潮乐曲目参加展演活动，并获“优秀乐种组合”荣誉。
除参加剧场展演外，汕头潮乐团还参加了“家门口赏民乐”——艺术进基层活动，团长余琼莹参加“一场一评”专家座谈会活动，汕头潮乐团的精彩演出受到专家们一致好评。
