On November 25, a delegation from the Leiria Municipal Government, led by Carlos Jorge Pedro Simoes Parreira, a member of the Leiria Municipal Council of Portugal, visited Shantou, and had discussions and exchanges with local leaders on deepening practical cooperation in multiple fields and at multiple levels.

Carlos said that Leiria and Shantou have highly compatible visions on development in the fields of economy, trade, culture, tourism, food, and education, etc., and have a strong desire and solid foundation for win-win cooperation. He hoped that both sides would fully tap into their respective strengths, and further strengthen contacts and exchanges, especially deepening cooperation in the international "exchange students" program. He also hoped that Shantou would lead a larger delegation to visit Leiria again in the near future.

During their stay in Shantou, the delegation of Leilia Municipal Government also inspected Guangdong Yuedong Technician College, Chaoshan Historical and Cultural Expo Center, Hongteng Toys Exhibition Hall of Chenghai District in Shantou City, and Shantou Golds Precision Technology Co., Ltd.

　　葡萄牙雷利亚市政府代表团一行莅汕

　　11月25日，由葡萄牙雷利亚市议会议员卡洛斯·豪尔赫·佩德罗·西蒙斯·帕雷拉率领的雷利亚市政府代表团一行莅汕，与我市就深化多领域多层次务实合作进行座谈交流。

　　卡洛斯表示，雷利亚与汕头两地在经贸、文旅、美食、教育等领域发展理念高度契合，有着合作共赢的强烈愿望和良好基础，希望双方充分发挥各自优势，进一步加强对接交流，尤其是在国际“交换生”项目上深化合作，也希望汕头能在不久的将来带领更大的团组再次到雷利亚市开展访问。

　　在汕期间，雷利亚市政府代表团一行还前往广东省粤东技师学院、潮汕历史文化博览中心、汕头市澄海区宏腾玩具展厅、汕头市高德斯精密科技有限公司参观考察。
