On December 15, the 40th Shantou Adolescents Science and Technology Innovation Contest (SASTIC), jointly organized by five departments including Shantou Municipal Association for Science and Technology and, was held at Shantou Museum of Science and Technology.
This SASTIC attracted many primary and secondary schools and science and technology innovation enthusiasts to participate in. After selection, a total of 473 Shantou young students' 263 works entered the finals to participate in on-site exhibition and evaluation activities, covering 16 disciplines including technology and design, physics, and environmental science. On the venue for the finals of exhibition and evaluation activities, 41 works were selected for the first prize, 94 works for the second prize, and 128 works for the third prize through project displays, on-site defenses, and other forms. From the works selected for the first prize, 18 works were selected to participate in the 40th Guangdong Adolescents Science and Technology Innovation Contest.

第40届汕头市青少年科技创新大赛举行
12月15日，由市科协等5部门联合主办的第40届汕头市青少年科技创新大赛在汕头科技馆举办。
本次大赛吸引众多中小学校及科技创新爱好者参与。经过选拔，全市共有473名青少年学生的263项作品进入决赛参加现场展评活动，作品涉及技术与设计、物理学、环境科学等16个学科。决赛展评现场，通过项目展示、现场答辩等形式，最终评选出一等奖41项，二等奖94项、三等奖128项，并从一等奖作品中择优推荐18项作品参加广东省第40届青少年科技创新大赛。
