On the morning of December 20, the 5-day 2024 Shantou Food Culture Week with the theme of “Flavors of the World at the Gastronomic Island” kicked off at the Small Park, attracting representatives from the "World Gastronomic Capital" cities and many master chefs of Chaozhou cuisine and inheritors of intangible food cultural heritage from Shantou.
This Food Culture Week featured 68 intangible food cultural heritage projects on the venues in Shantou Small Park (including Shunchang Street, Guoping South, and Guoping North), alongside food picture exhibitions showcasing the "flavors of the world" from cities such as Chengdu, Shunde, Macao, Yangzhou, Huai'an, and Chaozhou. There are other interactive activities including the Yingge dance parade, Chaozhou opera performances, popular song performances, the "Taste of Shantou" video exhibition, and food-themed paper-cutting, as well as face-to-face talks on food by Chaozhou cuisine master chefs Zhong Chengquan, Cai Zhenrong, and Ji Ruixi, bringing a feast integrating food and culture to citizens and tourists.

2024汕头美食文化周开启
12月20日上午,为期5天的“美食孤岛 世界味道”2024汕头美食文化周在小公园拉开帷幕, 吸引了“世界美食之都”城市代表和我市多位潮菜大师、美食非遗技艺传承人到场。
本次美食文化周在汕头小公园(顺昌街、国平南、国平北)现场设置了68个非遗美食项目,还有成都、顺德、中国澳门、扬州、淮安、潮州“世界之味”城市美食图片展览、英歌舞巡游、潮剧表演、流行歌曲演唱、寻味汕头视频展播、美食剪纸互动,以及潮菜美食大师钟成泉、蔡振荣、纪瑞喜面对面讲座等活动,为市民和游客带来一场集美食、文化于一体的盛宴。
