On December 31, 2024, the Jingzao Bridge of Chaozhou-Shantou Loop Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the “Jingzao Bridge”) was officially completed and opened to traffic.

The Jingzao Bridge spans a total length of 3113 meters, starting from Oucuo Village, Guanbu Town, Chaoyang District, Shantou City, and seamlessly linking to the Chaoshan Connection Line of Chaozhou-Shantou Loop Expressway. It has the Jinzao (Hub) Interchange that intersects with the Chaozhou-Huizhou Expressway, crosses the Rongjiang South River to the north, and finally reaches Jingnan Village, Rongcheng District, Jieyang City. It seamlessly links to Development Avenue, and it sets up the Rongjiang New Town mainline toll station and Guanbu toll station.

After the opening of the Jingzao Bridge to traffic, it will change the current situation where the transportation between the two banks of the Rongjiang South River mainly relies on ferries, effectively solving the transportation needs of hundreds of thousands of people on both banks. Meanwhile, it will also provide convenient channels for the transportation of agricultural products along the route, greatly enhancing the conversion function of the eastern Guangdong expressway network. This is of great significance for promoting the coordinated development of the Shantou-Chaozhou-Jieyang metropolitan area and accelerating its integration into the economic circle of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

　　潮汕环线高速京灶大桥项目建成通车

　　2024年12月31日，潮汕环线高速京灶大桥项目正式建成通车。

　　该项目全长3113米，起于汕头市潮阳区关埠镇欧厝村，顺接潮汕环线高速公路潮汕联络线，设金灶（枢纽）互通立交与潮惠高速公路相交，向北跨越榕江南河，终于揭阳市榕城区京南村，顺接发展大道，设置榕江新城主线收费站和关埠收费站。

　　京灶大桥通车后，将改变目前榕江南河两岸往来主要依靠轮渡的局面，有效解决两岸数十万群众交流往来的交通需求。同时，也将为沿线农产品运输提供便捷通道，极大提升粤东高速公路网的转换功能，对推动汕潮揭都市圈协同发展，加快融入粤港澳大湾区经济圈具有重要意义。
