On the evening of February 13, the 2025 Shantou Small Park International Lantern Show Cultural Carnival commenced with a grand opening. Creating a happy festival atmosphere, the event used colorful lantern displays and unique Chaozhou-style performances to vividly present Shantou's cultural charm, its new developments, and its deep-rooted friendship as a century-old overseas Chinese hometown.

This Lantern Show Cultural Carnival is a significant cultural and tourism event for the 2025 "Please Come to Shantou to Celebrate the Spring Festival." Its goal is to thoroughly explore the essence of Chaoshan culture, overseas Chinese culture, the culture of the Shantou Special Economic Zone, and industrial culture. The event aims to establish a world-renowned cultural brand, showcase the allure of fine traditional Chinese culture, foster international exchanges and cooperation, and enhance Shantou's global reputation. The event will last until March 9.
