On the morning of March 9, at the sound of the starting gun, the 2025 "China Life" Shantou New Year's Long-distance Running Race kicked off in the East Coast Jinwan Park. 2,000 running enthusiasts enjoyed spring by participating in sports, advocating for a scientific and healthy lifestyle.

The Shantou New Year's Long-distance Running Race has been held 28 times to date and is a highly popular mass sports event cherished by the public. This year's Running Race capitalized on the occasion of welcoming the 15th National Games, and launched a new race route, with a total length of 10 kilometers. For the first time, the course run along East Coast Avenue, beginning and concluding at Jinwan Park. After intense competition, the championships of the men's and women's competitions were won by Chen Huawei and Wu Shaofeng, respectively.

　　3月9日上午，2025“中国人寿”汕头市新春长跑比赛在东海岸津湾公园鸣枪开跑。2000名跑步爱好者在运动中享受春光，倡导科学健康生活方式。

　　汕头市新春长跑比赛至今已举办了28届，是一项深受市民喜爱的大型群众性体育赛事。今年的赛事以喜迎第十五届全国运动会为契机，启用新的比赛路线，全长10公里，赛道首次沿东海岸大道蜿蜒铺展，以津湾公园为起终点。经过激烈角逐，男、女子组冠军分别由陈华威和吴绍凤获得。
