On April 7, the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee and the Shantou Municipal People's Government hosted the 2025 Symposium for Chairpersons of Global Chaoshan Chambers of Commerce and Entrepreneur Representatives. The Symposium brought together chairpersons of Chaoshan chambers of commerce and entrepreneur representatives from both China and abroad to reminisce about shared experiences, discuss exchanges and cooperation, and explore effective strategies for driving high-quality economic and social development in Shantou.

Wen Zhanbin, Secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, expressed his deep appreciation to Chaoshan-origin individuals both at home and abroad for their long-standing care and support for Shantou's economic and social development. He hoped that global Chaoshan business people and enterprises would embrace and continue the pioneering spirit of the Chaoshan people, integrate their own development into overall national development, bring back to Shantou innovative technologies, projects, and talents, work together to create a bright future, and jointly write a new chapter in the practice of Chinese path to modernization in Shantou.

During the Symposium, a promotional video highlighting Shantou's investment opportunities was shown. Additionally, chairpersons of global Chaoshan chambers of commerce and entrepreneur representatives from China and overseas offered their insights and suggestions for the development of their hometown Shantou.

　　4月7日，市委、市政府召开2025年汕头市海内外潮商会长及企业家代表座谈会，邀请海内外潮汕商会会长及企业家代表相聚一堂，共叙乡情乡谊、共话交流合作、共谋发展良策，推动汕头经济社会高质量发展。

　　市委书记温湛滨向长期以来关心支持汕头经济社会发展的海内外乡亲表示感谢，希望海内外潮商潮企传承弘扬潮人精神，融入国家发展大局，带着技术、项目、人才回归，携手耕耘未来，共同书写中国式现代化汕头实践的崭新篇章。
