From April 9 to 13, Wen Zhanbin, Secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, led a friendly delegation from Shantou to visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE). During the visit, the delegation met with officials at the Chinese Embassy in the UAE and was hosted by the Sharjah Royal Family for discussions and exchanges. The delegation also paid a visit to the International Renewable Energy Agency and the UAE Guangdong Chamber of Commerce, and inspected local enterprises, industrial parks, trade markets, and cultural and tourism projects. In addition, the delegation participated in various economic, trade, cultural, and tourism exchange activities, for the purpose of deepening people-to-people and cultural exchanges between Shantou and the UAE, expanding economic and trade cooperation, advancing high-standard opening-up of Shantou, and promoting high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.

        4月9日至13日，市委书记温湛滨率汕头市友好代表团访问阿联酋，拜访中国驻阿联酋大使馆，受邀前往沙迦王室座谈交流，访问国际可再生能源署、阿联酋广东商会，考察企业、产业园区、商贸市场、文旅项目等，出席经贸文旅交流活动，推动汕头与阿联酋进一步深化人文交流、拓展经贸合作，努力推进汕头高水平对外开放，助推高质量共建“一带一路”。
