To fully leverage the role of the social sciences communities in Shantou, Chaozhou, and Jieyang as a "Think Tank" and "Brain Trust," the Municipal Federations of Social Sciences from these three cities recently co-hosted an academic exchange conference on the "Integration of the Shantou-Chaozhou-Jieyang Metropolitan Area and Coordinated Regional Development". The event took place at the Chaoshan History and Culture Expo Center, where experts and scholars gathered to collaboratively explore effective strategies for building the Shantou-Chaozhou-Jieyang Metropolitan Area.

This academic exchange conference centered on the theme of "Integration of the Shantou-Chaozhou-Jieyang Metropolitan Area and Coordinated Regional Development". Through keynote speeches, discussions, site visits, and field investigations, it created a platform for collaborative brainstorming and joint efforts to explore innovative, practical approaches for developing the Shantou-Chaozhou-Jieyang Metropolitan Area. The conference also aimed to provide theoretical insights and intellectual support to advance the integration of the Shantou-Chaozhou-Jieyang Metropolitan Area.

        为发挥汕潮揭社科界“思想库”“智囊团”作用，近日，由汕头、潮州、揭阳三市社科联联合主办的“汕潮揭都市圈一体化与区域协调发展”学术交流会在潮汕历史文化博览中心举办，专家学者齐聚一堂，为汕潮揭都市圈建设共谋良策。

        本次学术交流会聚焦“汕潮揭都市圈一体化与区域协调发展”主题，通过主旨报告、交流发言、参观调研等形式，搭建一个集思广益、群策群力的平台，共同探索汕潮揭都市圈建设的创新实践路径，为助推汕潮揭都市圈一体化提供理论支撑和智力支持。
