During this year's May Day holiday, Shantou welcomed a total of 3,892,100 tourists, a year-on-year increase of 20.3%. Its tourism revenue reached RMB 2.491 billion, a year-on-year increase of 21.9%. From its rich traditional culture to its vibrant fashion and romantic atmosphere, Shantou’s unique charm draws visitors from around the globe, establishing it as a popular travel destination.

During the May Day holiday, Shantou carefully planned and organized nearly 100 cultural and tourism events across all districts and counties of the city. These activities spanned a wide range of fields including culture, tourism, sports, and cuisine, offering visitors a comprehensive and immersive experienceShantou organized a variety of events at its public cultural venues and major cultural sites, presenting to locals and visitors an array of cultural feasts. Over 30 cultural venues in the city extended their opening hours and simultaneously launched special activities, including DIY experiences of intangible cultural heritage and interactive sessions on the restoration of Qiaopi (correspondence and remittance documents from overseas Chinese), attracting more than 300,000 participants.

　　今年“五一”假期，汕头共接待游客389.21万人次，同比增长20.3%；旅游收入达24.91亿元，同比增长21.9%；从传统文化到时尚浪漫，汕头凭借其独特魅力吸引八方宾客，成为热门旅游目的地。

　　“五一”期间，我市精心策划近百项文旅活动，覆盖全市各区县，涵盖文化、旅游、体育、美食等多个领域，为游客提供全方位的沉浸式体验。公共文化场馆及各大文化场所举办丰富多彩的活动，为市民和游客带来文化盛宴。全市30多个文化场馆延长开放时间，同步推出非遗手作体验、侨批修复互动等特色活动，吸引了超30万人次参与。
