On May 10, the Deputies Working Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress formed a research team consisting of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Deputies to the National People's Congress. The team was headed by Ma Fengguo, with Wu Qiubei and Chen Yong acting as deputy leaders. The team visited Shantou to conduct research aimed at learning more about Shantou’s overall economic and social development, with a particular focus on Shantou’s efforts to promote high-quality growth and strengthen cooperation between Shantou and Hong Kong.

During their visit to Shantou, the research team conducted an on-site inspection at the Guangdong Provincial Laboratory of Chemistry and Fine Chemicals to gain insights into the Laboratory’s construction, scientific research, and commercialization of scientific research findings. They also toured Sirio Pharma Co., Ltd. to explore the development of Shantou's big health industry. They visited Chenghai District Golds Precision Technology Co., Ltd. and the Hongteng Toy Exhibition Hall to learn about the growth of Shantou’s creative toy industry. And they visited Chaoshan Historical and Cultural Expo Center, the former site of the CPC Central Committee Red Postage Route (Shantou Station), Shantou Port-opening Culture Exhibition Hall, and Small Park Historical and Cultural Block.

　　香港特别行政区第十四届全国人大代表莅汕调研

　　5月10日，全国人大常委会代表工作委员会组织以马逢国为组长，吴秋北、陈勇为副组长的香港特别行政区第十四届全国人大代表调研组莅汕开展专题调研，深入了解汕头市经济社会发展总体情况，重点了解汕头市在推动高质量发展、深化汕港合作方面的有关情况。

　　在汕期间，调研组一行实地察看了化学与精细化工广东省实验室，了解实验室建设、科研及成果转化情况；前往仙乐健康科技股份有限公司，了解汕头市大健康产业发展情况；前往澄海区高德斯精密科技有限公司和宏腾玩具展厅，了解汕头市玩具创意特色产业发展情况；并前往潮汕历史文化博览中心、中央红色交通线旧址（汕头站）、汕头开埠文化陈列馆、小公园历史文化街区进行参观。
