On the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival, the Xiagong Mazu Hexing Dragon Boat Team from Heping Town, Chaoyang District, intensified their training in preparation for the upcoming Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival in the UK. This Dragon Boat Team will be the sole representative of China in this Cambridge Dragon Boat Race and will mark the first time a dragon boat team from Chaoyang District will compete in a foreign country. Their participation will help deepen global appreciation for Chaoshan culture, foster cultural integration and exchanges between China and other countries, and showcase the Chaoyang Dragon Boat's unique charm of acting in a spirit of solidarity and striving for excellent performance.

Since its founding in 1996, the Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival has grown into a key event for cultural exchanges between China and the UK. Therefore, in addition to actively training for the race, the team members have also prepared small gifts that highlight intangible cultural heritage, hoping to take this opportunity to showcase Chinese culture and Chaoshan culture to the world.

　　汕头龙舟队将赴英参加剑桥龙舟赛

　　端午节前夕，潮阳区和平镇下宫妈祖和兴龙舟队加紧训练，准备出征即将举行的英国剑桥龙舟节。该龙舟队是唯一代表中国参加此次比赛的队伍，也是潮阳龙舟队首次走出国门，将进一步加深世界对潮汕文化的认识，促进中外文化的交流与融合，让更多人了解潮阳龙舟同舟共济、奋勇争先的独特魅力。

　　剑桥龙舟节创办于1996年，已成为中英文化交流的重要平台。为此，队员们除了积极备赛，还准备了非遗小礼物，希望借此机会向世界展示中华文化、潮汕文化。
