On June 3, the Guangdong Province’s home event of the World Environment Day 2025 under the theme of "Building a Beautiful China Starts with Me" was held at Shantou International Convention and Exhibition Center. During the event, "Fen Yueyue" (Jumping Dolphin) and "Yuan Baobao" (Turtle Baby), the IP images for Shantou environmental protection, were officially unveiled. They are inspired by the Chinese white dolphin, which frequently visits the waters around Nan’ao, and the soft-shell turtle, an animal under national Grade-I protection, which reappears in the Lianjiang River Basin, quickly capturing everyone's attention.

It's no coincidence that the two flagship species, which are highly sensitive to water quality, frequently "show up" or return to their original habitats. Their choice of this habitat highlights the ongoing progress in improving Shantou’s ecological environment, particularly the fruitful results in improving its aquatic environments.

汕头环保IP形象发布

　　6月3日，“美丽中国我先行”2025年六五环境日广东省主场活动在汕头国际会展中心举行。活动中，汕头环保IP形象——“粉跃跃”和“鼋宝宝”正式亮相。它们分别以频频造访南澳海域的中华白海豚和重现练江流域的国家一级保护动物鼋为原型，瞬间成为关注焦点。

　　两种对水域质量异常敏感的旗舰物种频频“露面”或重归故里，并非偶然。它们的安居选择，是汕头生态环境持续改善、尤其是水环境治理卓有成效的有力注脚。
