On July 11, the finals of the 14th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Guangdong - Shantou Division) and the 2025 Shantou Torch New Arenas Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were held at the Shenzhen-Shantou Next-generation Electronic Information Industrial Park. The events were hosted by the Shantou Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology and the Administrative Committee of Shantou High-tech Zone, and organized by the South China Technology Transfer Center.
The participating enterprises in this competition involved new energy, new materials, next-generation information technology and other Shantou’s key fields of "three new, two special, and one big" industries ("three new" industries refer to new energy, new materials and next-generation electronic information industries; "two special" industries refer to two traditional industries with distinctive local features, namely, textile and clothing and creative toys; and "one big" industry refers to big health industry). The competition adopted the form of "8-minute presentation + 5-minute Q&A session". It was held separately for the start-up group and the growth group. Experienced experts were invited to serve as judges, who scored the participating enterprises’ projects by displaying their scores on the spot. This process allowed them to contribute ideas and insights for the development of these enterprises’ projects. At the event site, several potential projects from emerging industries showcased their latest achievements in cutting-edge scientific and technological innovation through roadshows, for the purpose of enhancing the connection between scientific and technological achievements and the capital market, and fostering the commercialization of innovative and entrepreneurial accomplishments. The entire competition was broadcast live, with the participating projects showcased online at the Shantou East Coast International Science and Technology Roadshow Center, fully highlighting Shantou’s innovative vitality.

第十四届中国创新创业大赛（广东·汕头赛区）举行
7月11日，由市科技局、汕头高新区管委会主办，华南技术转移中心承办的第十四届中国创新创业大赛（广东·汕头赛区）暨2025年汕头市火炬新赛道创新创业大赛决赛在深汕新一代电子信息产业园举行。
本次大赛参赛企业涉及新能源、新材料、新一代信息技术等我市“三新两特一大”重点产业领域。大赛采用“8分钟路演+5分钟答辩”形式，按照初创组和成长组分别进行比赛，邀请资深专家担任评审，采取“现场评委，当场亮分”形式对参赛企业项目进行评分，为企业项目发展出谋划策。活动现场，一批新兴产业潜力项目开展路演，展示科技创新前沿领域的最新成果，推动科技成果与资本市场对接，促进创新创业成果落地转化。大赛全程直播，参赛项目在“汕头东海岸国际科创路演中心”线上呈现，充分展现汕头创新活力。
