From July 26 to 27, the 2025 China Rubik's Cube Tour Series (Shantou Station) and the "Belt and Road" Mass Sports Series WCU Rubik's Cube Competition were held at Zhengda Stadium in Shantou. Rubik's Cube enthusiasts from all over China gathered in the "Rubik's Cube City of China" -- Shantou to compete in an exciting showcase of intelligence and speed.

This competition was co-hosted by the Chess and Cards Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sports of China and the International Sports Exchange Center of the General Administration of Sport of China. The competition was divided into individual events, all-around individual events, and team relays. Participants faced challenges such as the Maple Rubik's Cube, Pyraminx, 2x2 Rubik's Cube, 3x3 Rubik's Cube, Mirror Cube, 3x3 Blindfolded, and other events, all organized by age group.

The 2025 China Rubik's Cube Sports Tour features competitions at four regional stations, with the finals taking place in Beijing. Shantou Station marks the first stop of the event. Shantou is known as the "Rubik’s Cube Capital of China". The toy industry in Chenghai District, Shantou, has achieved strong growth, and Chenghai District’s output value of Rubik's Cube accounts for more than 45% of the global market share. This competition leverages Shantou’s strengths in Rubik's Cube manufacturing alongside sports competition, further promoting the popularity and development of Rubik's Cube as a sport.

2025年中国魔方运动巡回赛系列活动（汕头站）在汕举行

　　7月26日至27日，2025年中国魔方运动巡回赛系列活动（汕头站）暨“一带一路”群众体育系列赛WCU魔方大赛在我市正大体育馆举行，来自全国的魔方运动选手齐聚“中国魔方之都”，展开一场智力与速度的精彩对决。

　　比赛由国家体育总局棋牌运动管理中心、国家体育总局对外体育交流中心主办。本次比赛分个人单项赛、个人全能赛、团体接力赛，设有枫叶魔方、金字塔魔方、二阶魔方、三阶魔方、镜面魔方、三阶盲拧等项目，分不同年龄组别进行。

　　2025年中国魔方运动巡回赛共有4站分站赛以及在北京举行的总决赛，汕头站是赛事首站。作为“中国魔方之都”，我市澄海区玩具产业发展势头强劲，其中魔方产值占据全球市场份额的45%以上。本次赛事将魔方制造优势与体育竞技相结合，进一步推动项目普及与发展。
