On August 6, Dr. Petchpong Kamjikakarn, Deputy Director-General of the Medical Service Department of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Thailand, led a delegation to Shantou. The delegation made a special visit to Shantou Hospital of TCM to discuss further deepening and expanding collaboration in the health sector and to promote the exchange and cooperation of traditional Chinese medicine between Shantou and Thailand.

Shantou has always placed great importance on international exchange and cooperation in the medical field. In 2023, Shantou Hospital of TCM and Huachiew TCM Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand, successfully established a sister-hospital partnership. Soon after, a delegation from the Shantou Municipal People's Government visited Thailand. During this visit, Shantou Hospital of TCM also signed memorandums of cooperation with several Thai institutions. Since then, collaborative mechanisms in various fields have been put in place to strengthen the sister-city relationship between Shantou and Bangkok and to advance Sino-Thai medical cooperation to new heights.

泰国曼谷市医疗代表团一行莅汕

8月6日，泰国曼谷市政厅医疗局副局长佩蓬率团访问汕头，专程到汕头市中医医院参观交流，共同探讨卫生健康领域的深化拓展，推动汕泰两地中医交流合作。

我市高度重视医疗领域对外交流合作。2023年，汕头市中医医院与泰国华侨中医院成功缔结“友好医院”，随后，汕头市政府代表团赴泰访问，期间，汕头市中医医院还与泰国多家机构签署合作备忘录，在多个领域建立了合作机制，为增进汕头和曼谷友好交流城市关系和推动中泰医疗领域合作迈向新高度贡献力量。
