On the afternoon of August 29, the Shantou Municipal Bureau of Overseas Chinese Affairs and the Shantou Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, with support from the Teochew Federation (Singapore), opened a special exhibition titled "Chaoshan Youth Among Nanyang Volunteer Drivers and Mechanics Travelled Ten Thousand Miles to Join the War" at South Guoping Road in the Shantou Small Park Historical and Cultural Block.

This exhibition showcases over 100 valuable historical photographs that vividly depict the Nanyang Volunteers — overseas Chinese drivers and mechanics who returned from Southeast Asia during the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, with a special emphasis on the contributions and sacrifices of those of Chaoshan origin. The exhibition is divided into fifteen sections, which systematically present the Nanyang Volunteers’ historical background, their journey back to China, their contributions during the Anti-Japanese War, and their lasting historical impact. At the exhibition site, a memorial wall titled "List of Patriots" was specially created, featuring the names and photos of 108 well-documented Nanyang volunteer drivers and mechanics of Chaoshan origin. The exhibition also showcases photos of the Nanyang Volunteers returning to China to join the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, images of their work transporting supplies along the Burma Highway, a letter of introduction personally signed by Mr. Tan Kah Kee, scenes from the lives of descendants of Chaoshan-origin drivers and mechanics, and commemorative events held both in China and abroad in recent years.

《万里赴戎机——南侨机工中的潮汕子弟》展览开展

　　8月29日下午，由市侨务局、市侨联主办，新加坡潮州总会支持的《万里赴戎机——南侨机工中的潮汕子弟》专题展览在小公园历史文化街区国平南路开展。

　　本次展览通过100余幅珍贵历史图片，全面展现了抗战时期南洋华侨机工回国服务的英勇事迹，特别聚焦潮汕籍机工群体的贡献与牺牲。展览分为十五个板块，系统梳理了南侨机工的历史背景、回国历程、抗战事迹和历史影响。展览现场特别设置了“赤子名录”纪念墙，集中展示了目前有据可查的108位潮汕籍南侨机工的姓名和照片。展出的照片中还包括机工们回国参战的场景、在滇缅公路运输物资的工作照、陈嘉庚先生亲笔签名的介绍信以及潮汕机工后人情况和近年来海内外的纪念活动。
