On August 31, Shantou Railway Station successfully concluded its 62-day summer peak passenger transport period, having served 2.249 million passengers. This figure marks a 15.5% year-on-year increase and sets a new record for summer passenger volume. Among them, 1.144 million passengers departed, marking a 16.5% increase year-on-year; 1.105 million passengers arrived, representing a 14.4% year-on-year increase.

To handle the summer surge in travel—from students, tourists, and people visiting family—Shantou Railway Station adopted a dynamic "One Map for a Day" strategy. This involved using big data to accurately track passenger flow and dynamically increase transportation capacity through the addition of temporary trains and expanded EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) operations. At the same time, by expanding train services to top travel destinations, Shantou Railway Station strengthened connections with major tourist cities and effectively boosted the development of the tourism economy.

汕头站暑运客流量创历史新高

　　为期62天的暑运运输任务8月31日圆满收官，汕头站累计迎送旅客224.9万人次，同比增长15.5%，创历年暑运客流新高。其中，发送旅客114.4万人次，同比增长16.5%；到达旅客110.5万人次，同比增长14.4%。

　　为应对暑期学生流、旅游流和探亲流出行热潮，汕头站实行“一日一图”策略，运用大数据精准追踪客流变化，通过灵活增开临客、动车组重联运行等方式增加运能。同时，加大旅游热门城市的列车开行力度，串联起主要旅游城市，有效助力旅游经济的发展。
