On the morning of August 30, the inaugural meeting of the Shantou-Chaozhou-Jieyang Metropolitan Area Head and Neck Oncology Specialist Alliance was held at the University Road Campus of the Cancer Hospital Affiliated to Shantou University Medical College. The formation of this alliance marks a shift in how head and neck tumors are prevented and treated in Shantou, Chaozhou, and Jieyang, moving from isolated approaches to coordinated regional efforts that will better protect the head and neck health of people in eastern Guangdong.

The alliance, initiated by the Cancer Hospital Affiliated to Shantou University Medical College, has brought together 40 medical institutions across three cities for the first time, enabling them to "join hands across the cities". It will fully leverage the Cancer Hospital’s competitive strengths in medical technology, scientific research innovation, clinical resources, and regional location, and promote in-depth cooperation among member institutions in areas such as preventive screening, clinical diagnosis and treatment, rehabilitation management, science education and outreach, academic exchanges, and scientific research cooperation, for the purpose of truly “leveraging complementary strengths and sharing resources”.

汕潮揭都市圈头颈肿瘤专科联盟在汕成立

　　8月30日上午，汕潮揭都市圈头颈肿瘤专科联盟成立大会在汕头大学医学院附属肿瘤医院大学路院区召开。这一联盟的成立，标志着汕潮揭三市头颈肿瘤防治工作从“点状发展”迈入“区域协同”新阶段，将为粤东地区人民群众的头颈健康保驾护航。

　　该联盟由汕大医学院附属肿瘤医院牵头发起，首次实现了三市40家医疗机构的“跨城牵手”，将充分依托汕大医学院附属肿瘤医院在医疗技术、科研创新、临床资源及地域区位上的突出优势，从预防筛查、临床诊疗、康复管理、科普宣教、学术交流、科研合作等方面，推动联盟单位间开展深度协作，真正实现“优势互补、资源共享”。
