On the afternoon of September 10, the Women's Handball Tournament of China’s 15th National Games officially kicked off. Ten women's handball teams from across China gathered in Shantou for a thrilling showdown.

At the opening ceremony, Shantou presented a meticulously prepared "Chaoshan Cultural Feast". The event warmly welcomed teams from across China with a program showcasing national intangible cultural heritage, including the Yingge Dance and Double Dragon Dance, as well as other unique Chaoshan folk performances. The first match, a preliminary Group A game between the Shandong team and the Hong Kong team, concluded with a victory for Shandong team.

To host the 15th National Games, Shantou has extensively upgraded its major sports venues and facilities, providing athletes with first-class competition and training venues while offering spectators a top-tier viewing experience. Hosting this event will enrich Shantou's cultural connotation and drive the coordinated development of its economy, society, and sports.

第十五届全国运动会手球女子组比赛在汕开赛

　　9月10日下午，第十五届全国运动会手球女子组比赛正式开赛，来自全国各地的10支女子手球劲旅齐聚汕头展开巅峰对决。

　　开赛仪式上，我市精心准备了“潮汕文化大餐”，以英歌舞、双龙舞等国家级非物质文化遗产和潮汕特色民俗表演，热情欢迎全国各地代表队。首场比赛为预赛A组比赛，由山东队对阵香港队，最终山东队获胜。

　　为迎接十五运会，我市对现有大型体育场馆设施进行了全面升级，确保为参赛运动队提供一流的竞赛训练场地，为游客观众带来一流的观赛体验。而赛事的举办将进一步丰富汕头文化内涵，有力推进我市经济社会和体育事业协调发展。
