This year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Thailand and the "Golden Jubilee of China-Thailand Friendship". On September 11, part of the "China and Thailand Being as Close as One Family" exhibition series, the "Charm of Chaoshan and Its Connections with Thailand" cultural exhibition opened at the former residence of Chen Cihong in Shantou's Chenghai District. Through cultural exchange and mutual learning, the event strengthened the friendship between China and Thailand and celebrated the 25th anniversary of the sister-city relationship between Shantou and Bangkok with a special gift.
Running from September 11th to 21st, the event will showcase the achievements of mutual learning between the two cities in architecture, folk customs, and food through photographs and texts. It highlights the vital role of Thailand’s Teochew Chinese community in bridging Thai and Chinese cultures and fostering friendly ties, applauding their valuable spirit of staying true to the roots of Chinese culture while actively integrating into Thai society. The event venue buzzed with a joyful and welcoming atmosphere. Performances showcasing the unique cultures of the two cities, like Yingge Dance, Thai Boxing, and Unicorn Dance, took the stage one after another. Five special food booths opened at the same time, allowing guests to experience the integration and innovation of the two cities' food cultures through their taste buds. At the opening ceremony, a solicitation for Chinese and Thai students' short videos for contest was also launched to enhance cultural mutual trust between Chinese and Thai youth in sharing their stories and gather youthful strength for deepening friendly exchanges between the two countries.

“潮韵泰缘”文化展在汕头陈慈黉故居开幕
今年是中泰建交50周年暨“中泰友谊金色50年”。9月11日，“中泰一家亲”系列展示活动“潮韵泰缘”文化展在我市澄海区陈慈黉故居开幕，依托文化交流互鉴深化中泰情谊，献礼汕头曼谷缔结友好交流城市25周年。
本次活动自9月11日起持续至21日，通过图片与文字展示两地建筑、民俗、美食领域的互鉴成果，彰显潮籍华侨在连接中泰文化、促进友好交流中所发挥的重要桥梁作用，赞扬泰国潮侨在异国他乡既坚守中华文化根脉，又积极融入当地社会的可贵精神。活动现场气氛欢腾热烈，英歌舞、泰拳、麒麟舞等极具两地特色的表演接连登场，五个特色美食摊位同步开放，嘉宾们通过味觉体验直观感受两地饮食文化的融合与创新。开幕式上还启动中泰学生短视频大赛征集活动，在分享见闻中增进中泰青年文化互信，为深化两国友好交流凝聚青春力量。
