On the morning of September 25, Wu Chiaw Ching, President of the Teochew Federation (Singapore), led a delegation to Shantou for in-depth discussions with local officials on enhancing people-to-people and cultural exchanges, strengthening economic and trade cooperation, and tapping the potential of overseas Chinese in the new era.

Wen Zhanbin, Secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, thanked the Teochew Federation (Singapore) for its long-standing concern and support for the development and construction of Shantou. He hoped that the Teochew Federation (Singapore) would further give full play to its role as a bridge and bond, deepen exchanges and interactions with Shantou, expand cooperation in culture, industry, economy and trade and other fields, and help Shantou accelerate high-quality development.

Wu Chiaw Ching said that the Teochew Federation (Singapore) will uphold its strong tradition, act as a better bridge and bond, enhance people-to-people and cultural exchanges as well as trade and economic cooperation between Singapore and Shantou, actively add building blocks to Shantou's development, and help Shantou's modernization drive achieve new milestones.
