Recently, 24 representatives from overseas Chinese associations and the catering industry, who participated in the Top Teochew Chefs’ Training Class for Overseas Chinese, visited the Huilan Academy in Shantou. They attended a special briefing on the Small Park's "Huan Keh Street" project to discuss the development of Shantou as an overseas Chinese hometown and deepen exchange and cooperation.
Currently, the "Huan Keh Street" project is steadily progressing, with Anping Road as its central axis and key projects advancing in an orderly manner. Based in the core area of the Small Park, the project follows a design framework of "1 Huan Keh Street Block + 8 Chaoshan Gathering Nodes + 1 Cultural Path". It aims to create a vibrant cultural-commercial-tourism ecosystem rooted in the connections of overseas Chinese and bringing together Chaoshan entrepreneurs. As of the end of September, 10 overseas Chinese associations and chambers of commerce, including the Teochew Association of Germany, have signed on to the project. The "Huan Keh Street" project has also secured investment from the Zhejiang Homestay Industry Association, planning a total investment of approximately RMB 350 million to comprehensively upgrade the Suzuki Trading Company building and surrounding street blocks. The goal is to create a cultural and tourism creative complex that integrates catering, entertainment, culture, art, and music.
The overseas Chinese representatives listened attentively to the project briefing and engaged in on-site discussions regarding business forms planning. Several overseas Chinese representatives from the catering industry expressed their intent to cooperate. They hope to pool the support and energy of overseas Chinese to help Chaoshan cuisine go global and inspire more young overseas Chinese to return to their ancestral homeland Shantou to start businesses.

海外侨胞增进汕头“番客街”项目交流合作
近日，参加潮菜名师海外侨胞培训班的24位海外侨团和餐饮界侨胞代表走进汕头迴澜书院，听取小公园“番客街”项目专题推介，共话侨乡发展，深化交流合作。
当前，以安平路为轴线，“番客街”项目正稳步推进，重点工程有序展开。项目立足小公园核心区，以“1个番客街区+8个潮聚节点+1条文化路径”为设计框架，致力打造根植侨脉、汇聚潮商、富有活力的文商旅生态圈。截至9月底，已有德国潮州同乡会等10家侨团和商会完成签约。“番客街”还引入浙江民宿协会资源，计划投资约3.5亿元，对铃木洋行及周边街区进行整体提升，打造集餐饮、娱乐、文化、艺术、音乐于一体的文旅创意综合体。
侨胞代表认真听取项目介绍，并就业态规划等问题现场交流。多位餐饮界侨胞代表表达合作意愿，希望凝聚侨力，助力潮汕美食走向世界，带动更多侨青回乡创业。
