On November 6 American time, the opening ceremony and Golden Angel Awards ceremony of the 21st Chinese American Film Festival and Chinese American TV Festival were held in Los Angeles. Over 600 film and television productions were included for evaluation. In particular, the Teochew opera film The Princess of Eastern Wu, which won the Opera Film of the Year Award, became the first Teochew opera film to receive this special honor and the first Teochew opera production to take a classical Chinese story to the international stage.

The Teochew opera film The Princess of Eastern Wu was created and staged by Troupe 1 of Guangdong Teochew Opera Theater in 2005. It is based on the classical novel The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and portrays an exemplary image of ancient women from a unique perspective. The Teochew opera digital film The Princess of Eastern Wu was filmed by renowned director Ma Chongjie in 2023, and has been selected for the Digital Film Project of the Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award.

潮剧电影《东吴郡主》获中美电影节最佳戏曲电影奖

　　美国时间11月6日，第21届中美电影节、中美电视节开幕式暨“金天使奖”颁奖典礼在洛杉矶举行，逾600部影视作品参评本届中美电影节、中美电视节。其中，潮剧电影《东吴郡主》荣获年度最佳戏曲电影奖，成为首部获此殊荣的潮剧电影，也是首部将经典中国故事搬上国际舞台的潮剧作品。

　　潮剧《东吴郡主》于2005年由广东潮剧院一团创排上演，取材自古典名著《三国演义》，以独特视角塑造了古代女性典范形象。潮剧数字电影《东吴郡主》于2023年开机拍摄，由著名导演马崇杰执导，入选中国戏剧梅花奖数字电影工程。
