On the morning of November 13, the surfing sport of the 15th National Games kicked off on Nan'ao Island, Shantou. Athletes competed in the wind and waves in the beautiful Qing'ao Bay, showcasing the charm of this water event.
The surfing sport of the National Games features two events, namely men's short board and women's short board, gathering 56 athletes from 15 teams in total, and will last for eight days. The Qing'ao Bay is in its "golden period" in terms of sea conditions in November, providing a superb competing environment for athletes. Since the first Asian Surfing Championships and the China National Surfing Championships in 2019, nine top-level competitions have been held successfully here, including the Asian Surfing Championships, 2024 National Surfing Championships, and Coastal Rowing Championships, and this place has become an important venue for water sports competitions in southern China gradually.

十五运会冲浪项目在汕头南澳开赛
11月13日上午，第十五届全国运动会冲浪项目在汕头南澳拉开帷幕。运动员们在美丽的青澳湾追风逐浪，展示这项水上运动的魅力。
本届全运会冲浪赛事设置男子短板、女子短板两个项目，共有15支队伍的56名运动员参赛，赛事将持续8天。11月的青澳湾正值海况“黄金期”，为运动员提供了绝佳的竞技环境。自2019年承办首届亚洲冲浪暨全国冲浪锦标赛以来，这里已成功举办包括亚洲冲浪锦标赛、2024年全国冲浪锦标赛、海岸赛艇冠军赛在内的9场顶级赛事，并逐步成为我国南方重要的水上运动赛事举办地。
