On November 18, the world’s first Chaoshan dialect-understanding AI smart toy -- the lion-head goose-shaped “Chengcheng”-- made its appearance at the 2025 Shantou Global AI E-commerce Ecosystem Conference & Premium Products Selection & Matchmaking Fair. This innovative product, which integrates traditional Chaoshan culture with AI technology, leverages the Chaoshan Dialect Speech Recognition System to empower the smart toy industry. More importantly, it revitalizes the dialectal bond connecting 45 million Chaoshan people at home and abroad through engaging interactive experiences.

“Chengcheng” is a result of cross-sector collaboration among partners specializing in culture communication, communication technology, smart toy manufacturing, and AI algorithms. The massive media resource library of Shantou Media Convergence Group injects vivid and lively Chaoshan nursery rhymes with local characteristics into "Chengcheng"; the AIoT smart module and 5G network provided by the China Mobile Shantou Branch build a stable and efficient "neural network" for the toy; Guangdong Qunyu Interactive Technology Co., Ltd. creates the cute lion-head goose image; the Chaoshan dialect speech recognition system developed under the leadership of Shenzhen Radio and Television Digital Technology Co., Ltd. enables the toy to "understand" the local dialect and endows it with "intelligence".
