The 24th Pacific Science Congress will be held in our city on November 21. As the lead sponsor of the congress, Shantou University invites 750 globally renowned experts and scholars, etc. to gather at the Shantou International Convention and Exhibition Center as the "host" for the first time.
Founded in 1920, the Pacific Science Association (PSA) is an international interdisciplinary scientific organization covering multiple fields such as ocean, environment, climate, health, and society, and holds a congress every four years. With 15 Chinese and foreign academicians invited, this congress will feature over 200 academic presentations, and 11 onsite core sessions, including climate and the Earth system, extreme weather and climate events and their impacts, AI-based neuroscience research and innovation, social ecological networks, water-energy-food bonds, etc. By covering current frontier fields precisely, it will leave Shantou’s imprint in global efforts of "moving towards a sustainable future".

第24届太平洋科学大会11月21日在汕举办
第24届太平洋科学大会将于11月21日在我市举办。作为大会牵头承办单位，汕头大学首次以“东道主”身份，邀请全球知名专家学者等750人齐聚汕头国际会展中心。
太平洋科学协会（PSA）创立于1920年，是覆盖海洋、环境、气候、健康、社会等多领域的国际综合性科学组织，每4年举办一届大会。本届大会共有15位中外院士参加，将举行200余场学术报告，现场会议还设置了11个核心分议题，包括气候与地球系统、极端天气气候事件及其影响，基于AI的脑科学研究与创新、社会生态网络与水-能源-粮食纽带关系等内容，精准覆盖当下前沿领域，将为“迈向可持续的未来”写下汕头注脚。
