On November 28, the 2025 China Digital Economy Innovation and Development Conference opened at the Shantou International Convention and Exhibition Center.Themed "Gathering Digital Forces and Connecting Overseas Chinese to Intelligently Shape the Future", the Conference brought together participants to discuss the development trend of the global digital economy and the innovative models enabled by cutting-edge technologies in cross-border trade, finance, logistics, and data flows. Leveraging Shantou’s strengths as the hometown of many overseas Chinese and its position as an international data exchange hub, the Conference aimed to build a national-level platform for international exchange and cooperation in the digital industry and to establish a demonstration city for digital economic development that serves all of China, connects with Southeast Asia, and reaches out to the world.
At the opening ceremony, several initiatives were launched: the first stop in Guangdong under the initiative of "Cross-border Empowerment for Industrial Advancement in Guangdong", the initiative of "International Open-Source AI Community", the initiative of "Sharing Green Computing for an Intelligent Computing Future — Building a Key Green Computing Node for the Asia-Pacific", and the initiative of "Digital Silk Road AI Training Base". Shantou's "Data Processing Service for Client-Supplied Data" was also inaugurated. The Conference also released the China Digital Economy Industry Development Report (2025) and witnessed the centralized signing of a batch of digital economy projects to be implemented in Shantou, with a total contract value of RMB 16.3 billion.

2025中国数字经济创新发展大会在汕开幕
11月28日，2025中国数字经济创新发展大会在汕头国际会展中心开幕。大会以“聚数联侨 智通未来”为主题，共同探讨全球数字经济发展趋势、前沿技术赋能跨境贸易、金融、物流、数据流动等领域的创新模式，充分发挥汕头侨乡优势和国际数据交互枢纽作用，搭建国家级、国际化的数字产业交流合作平台，打造服务全国、辐射东南亚、面向世界的数字经济发展示范地。
开幕式上启动“跨境赋能 产业粤升”广东首站、国际人工智能开源社区、绿算共享 智算未来——建设面向亚太绿色算力关键节点、数字丝绸之路之人工智能培训基地，开通汕头“来数加工”业务。大会还发布了《中国数字经济产业发展报告（2025）》，集中签约一批落地汕头的数字经济项目，总签约金额为163亿元。
