On December 22, the Shantou-Shanwei High-Speed Railway, the first in Eastern Guangdong with a design speed of 350 km/h, was fully opened for operation. This marks the full connection of a new "Golden Corridor" between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the coastal economic belt of Eastern Guangdong, integrating Shantou into the Greater Bay Area's "2-hour economic circle"!

Stretching 162 kilometers with a design speed of 350 km/h, the Shantou-Shanwei High-Speed Railway passes through 8 districts and counties in 3 cities—Shantou, Jieyang, and Shanwei—connecting 7 stations and linking to the central urban area of Guangzhou via the Guangzhou-Shanwei High-Speed Railway. The full opening of the Shantou-Shanwei High-Speed Railway not only brings the 350 km/h high-speed rail service to Shantou's main urban area, but also complements the simultaneously opened Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway, creating an east-west network. This allows Guangdong's two provincial sub-central cities, Zhanjiang and Shantou, to simultaneously join the Greater Bay Area's "2-hour transport circle", closely linking the Beibu Gulf city cluster and the Shantou Special Economic Zone. In the future, with the accelerated construction of lines such as the Zhangzhou-Shantou High-Speed Railway and the Eastern Guangdong Intercity Railway, Shantou Railway Station will become a core gateway connecting the Greater Bay Area and radiating towards the Western Taiwan Straits Economic Zone, injecting enduring momentum into coordinated regional development.

粤东首条设计时速350公里高铁全线开通

　　12月22日，粤东首条设计时速350公里的高速铁路汕汕高铁全线开通运营。这标志着粤港澳大湾区与粤东沿海经济带之间，一条全新的“黄金走廊”全面贯通，汕头融入大湾区“2小时经济圈”！

　　汕汕高铁全长162公里，设计时速350公里，途经汕头、揭阳、汕尾3市8个区县，串联起7座车站，通过广汕高铁连通广州中心城区。汕汕高铁全线开通，不仅让汕头主城区迈入350公里时速的高铁时代，更与同步通车的广湛高铁形成东西呼应，使广东两大省域副中心城市湛江、汕头同步接入大湾区“2小时交通圈”，北部湾城市群与汕头经济特区被紧密串联。未来，随着漳汕高铁、粤东城际等线路加快建设，汕头站将成为连接粤港澳大湾区、辐射海西经济区的核心门户，为区域协调发展注入源源不断的动力。
