The First Global Chaozhou Cuisine Documentary Titled Flavors of Teochew from the Four Seas Hold Its Premiere

Recently, the first global Chaozhou cuisine documentary titled Flavors of Teochew from the Four Seas held its premiere in Shenzhen. This expansive culinary and cultural documentary, co-directed by several young persons of Chaoyang origin and filmed over many years, has attracted wide attention since its release.


Set against the backdrop of the global migration of the Chaoshan people, Flavors of Teochew from the Four Seas follows visits to 50 overseas Chaoshan families in countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. The documentary highlights the many expressions of Chaoshan cuisine around the world, tracing how it has evolved and blended with local cultures across different regions. Industry insiders hope to seize the opportunity of the documentary's premiere and its promotional momentum to transform Chaozhou cuisine from a "cultural symbol" into a key driver for enhancing Shantou's global recognition and boosting the development of its cultural tourism industry.

  近日,首部全球潮菜纪录片《四海潮味》在深圳举办首映礼。这部由多位潮阳籍青年联合导演、历经多年拍摄而成的大型风味人文纪录片,一经播出便引起广泛关注。

  《四海潮味》以全球潮汕族群迁徙为背景,通过探访“一带一路”共建国家的50个潮汕华侨家庭,呈现潮汕美食在全球不同角落的面貌,展现潮汕美食在不同地域的演变与融合。业界人士希望,抓住该片的首映契机和传播热度,让潮菜从“文化符号”转化为提升汕头全球知名度的核心抓手,推动文旅产业发展。
