Recently, Shantou officially launched the Yaliao Bay Coastline and Beach Protection and Restoration Project.

The Project is located on the north bank, 500 meters downstream of the Bay Bridge. Through measures such as constructing new sand-trapping dikes and artificial sand nourishment, it will restore 500 meters of coastline and revive the beach's ecological functions. The Project will simultaneously develop leisurely walking trails, seaside viewing terraces, and a 50-mu (approx. 3.3 hectares) green park, creating a coastal space that integrates recreation, waterfront access, and cultural tourism. As one of Shantou's "Ten Livelihood Programs for 2026", the Project will significantly enhance the quality of the city's bay and contribute to building a model coastal city with "intertwined blue and green" spaces.

汕头鸭寮湾修复工程启动

　　日前，我市正式启动鸭寮湾海岸线沙滩保护修复项目。

　　该项目位于海湾大桥下游500米北岸，将通过新建拦沙堤、人工补砂等措施，修复500米岸线，恢复沙滩生态功能。项目同步规划慢行步道、观海梯台及50亩绿地公园，打造集休闲、亲水、文旅于一体的滨海空间。作为我市2026年十件民生实事之一，该项目将显著提升城市海湾品质，助力“蓝绿交织”的滨海城市典范建设。
