On the morning of March 7, a delegation led by Hu Dingxu, Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Chiu Chow Community Organizations (FHKCCC), visited Shantou. They met with city officials to discuss deepening exchange and cooperation between Shantou and Hong Kong and empowering high-quality development.

During the meeting, Wen Zhanbin, Secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Chaoshan origin who have long cared about and supported the development of their hometown Shantou. He hoped that the FHKCCC would continue its steadfast support for Shantou’s reform and development, while encouraging more people and entrepreneurs of Chaoshan origin to return to Shantou for visits and bring more advanced experience, innovative resources, and industrial projects to Shantou, thereby jointly opening up new avenues for Shantou-Hong Kong cooperation. Hu Dingxu said that the FHKCCC would carry forward its fine traditions, act as a bridge and link, actively promote the excellent traditional culture of Chaoshan, and tell well the stories of Shantou and Chaoshan people, helping to elevate the exchange and cooperation between Shantou and Hong Kong to a new level.

香港潮属社团总会主席胡定旭一行莅汕访问

　　3月7日上午，由香港潮属社团总会主席胡定旭率领的访问团一行莅汕，与我市就深化汕港两地交流合作、赋能高质量发展等进行交流。

　　市委书记温湛滨在会见中向长期以来关心支持家乡发展建设的广大潮籍乡亲表示衷心感谢，希望香港潮属社团总会一如既往地关心支持家乡改革发展，带动更多潮人潮商返乡考察，将更多先进经验、创新资源和产业项目带到汕头，共同拓展汕港合作新空间。胡定旭表示，香港潮属社团总会将发扬优良传统、当好桥梁纽带，积极弘扬潮汕优秀传统文化，讲好汕头故事、潮人故事，助推汕港两地交流合作再上新台阶。
