On the evening of March 16, the 2026 Shantou Fashion Week kicked off with a stunning opening show at the Shantou Small Park.

The fashion show was presented in four distinct chapters: "Chaorun" (Chao Embroidery), "Symbiosis", "Radiant Flame", and "Unceasing", co-created by a team of designers and brand managers. Among them, the "Chaorun" apparel collection centered on Shantou's local Chao embroidery, specially inviting inheritors of the intangible cultural heritage of Chao and bead embroidery, as well as a renowned French swimwear brand, to contribute to its design inspiration. It artfully wove classic Chao embroidery motifs—such as dragons, phoenixes, and interlocking branch patterns—into the tailoring of modern fashion. This created a stunning fusion of "New Guochao" aesthetics (a trend blending modern Chinese design with traditional culture) with international design perspectives. The "Radiant Flame" chapter heightened the contrast between tradition and fashion to its fullest extent. This apparel collection was co-created with the Guangdong Chiu-Chow Opera Theatre, drawing core inspiration from the classic character designs of Chao Opera. It extracted iconic elements from Chao Opera costumes and combined them with the minimalist tailoring and trendy designs of modern fashion, allowing the beauty of Chao Opera to shine brightly on the fashion stage and conveying the dazzling brilliance of traditional culture that lives on unceasingly.

2026汕头时装周首秀精彩上演

　　3月16日晚上，2026汕头时装周首秀在小公园精彩上演。

　　此次走秀分“潮润”“共生”“耀火”“不息”四个篇章，由多位设计师、品牌主理人共同创作而成。其中，“潮润”系列服装以汕头本土潮绣为核心，特别邀请潮绣、珠绣非遗传承人和法国知名泳装品牌参与灵感设计，将潮绣经典的龙凤、缠枝纹等元素巧妙融入现代时装的剪裁之中，实现新国潮美学与国际设计视野的双向奔赴。“耀火”篇章更是将传统与时尚的反差感放大到极致。该系列服装与广东潮剧院联合创作，以潮剧经典角色造型为核心灵感，萃取潮剧服饰穿戴中的标志性元素，结合现代时装的简约剪裁与潮流设计，让潮剧之美在时尚舞台上熠熠生辉，传递出传统文化生生不息的耀眼光彩。
