On the occasion of the 34th "World Water Day", the Guangdong Provincial Office of the River Chief System officially announced the First Batch of Counties (Cities, Districts, and Towns) for Advancement of the Projects to Improve Rivers and Lakes Across Guangdong Province for the People’s Benefit, and Shantou's Longhu District was honorably included in the List.
Longhu District has set the construction of the "One River, Two Banks" demonstration belt along the Xinjin River as a key milestone for its "High-quality Development Project for Guangdong Counties, Towns and Villages", aiming for "significant changes within five years", and has formulated a clear "roadmap" for this purpose. The construction of the demonstration belt will focus on the area within 150 meters beyond the levee road, thoroughly improving the environment and landscape along the road. At the same time, it will closely focus on the "waterfront economy", accelerating the integration of agriculture, culture, tourism, and commerce within the industrial landscape, transforming the "clear river water" into a "golden belt" that drives income growth for village collectives and prosperity for villagers.

汕头龙湖上榜广东首批全域幸福河湖建设名单
第三十四届“世界水日”到来之际，广东省河长制办公室正式公布第一批县（市、区、镇）全域幸福河湖建设名单，我市龙湖区光荣上榜。
龙湖区将新津河“一河两岸”示范带建设定为全区“百千万工程”实现“五年显著变化”的标志性成果，为此制定了清晰“路线图”。示范带建设将聚焦堤顶路外150米范围，彻底改善沿线环境风貌；同时紧扣“水岸经济”，加快农文旅商融合产业布局，让“一河碧水”真正成为带动村集体增收、村民致富的“黄金带”。
