On the evening of March 26, the conference room of the Shantou Municipal Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (hereinafter referred to as the "Federation") hosted a heartwarming reunion, bringing two choirs together through music for the first time in 21 years. A delegation from the Sino-Thai Foundation for Culture and Education, led by its Chairperson Ms. Xie Ailewan (granddaughter of the renowned Thai Chinese representative Mr. Xie Huiru) and Vice Chairperson He Yun, was invited to visit the Federation. They performed jointly with the Qiaosheng Choir, an affiliate of the Federation, using music as a bridge to celebrate the China-Thailand family-like relationship.

As early as 2005, the Thai-Chinese Leyun Choir from Thailand visited Shantou for a joint performance with the Qiaosheng Choir. At the event, the Federation presented special mementos to their Thai friends, made from precious materials like the old newspapers and photos featuring the 2005 performance—as a cherished keepsake. The delegation from the Sino-Thai Foundation for Culture and Education hoped that this visit would further deepen the interactions between Thai and Chinese cultural groups, passing the “baton of friendship” to the younger generation and contributing to enhancing China-Thailand friendship.

汕泰两地合唱团同台唱情谊

　　3月26日晚，一场跨越21年的音乐重逢在汕头市侨联会议室温情上演。泰国著名侨领谢慧如先生孙女、泰华文化教育基金会主席谢爱乐婉，泰华文化教育基金会副主席何韵一行应邀来到汕头市侨联，与侨联下属侨声合唱团联袂演出，以歌为媒，共叙中泰一家亲的深厚情谊。

　　早在2005年，泰国泰华乐运合唱团就曾来到汕头，与侨声合唱团联袂演出。活动中，汕头市侨联特意将当年演出的老报纸、老照片等珍贵资料制作成纪念品，赠予泰方友人留念。泰华文化教育基金会一行希望通过此次访问，进一步加深双方文化团体之间的互动，让年轻一代接过友谊的接力棒，让中泰友好的根基更加牢固。
