On the afternoon of April 9, a delegation of nearly 100 Hong Kong students made a special visit to the Shantou Industrial Museum. The stop was part of a mainland China study tour organized by the Education Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, for the purpose of exploring the history, culture and economic development of the Chaoshan region.

As a new landmark of Shantou's city culture, the Shantou Industrial Museum (Shantou Model Workers Museum) has received over 60,000 visitors from all walks of life, institutions and groups since its official opening in June 2023, including more than 20,000 participants in study tours. During their immersive visit in the Museum, the Hong Kong students got a close look at historical artifacts full of time-honored imprints, including China's first-generation movie film reels, early Shantou tap-water pipe fittings, medicine jars from the Sino-French Pharmacy, and a Soviet Volga car once used by Lin Xizhi, known as the "Father of China's Photosensitive Industry". These exhibits chronicle over 160 years of Shantou's industrial development, allowing the younger generation to profoundly appreciate the deep heritage of Shantou's industrial culture.

香港学生潮汕考察团走进参观汕头工业博物馆

　　4月9日下午，由香港特别行政区政府教育局主办的潮汕历史文化及经济发展内地考察香港学生团队一行近百人，专程来到汕头工业博物馆参观学习。

　　汕头工业博物馆与劳模馆作为城市文化的新地标，自2023年6月正式开馆以来，已累计接待各界游客、单位团体超6万人次，研学人数突破2万人次。在博物馆内，香港学生们通过沉浸式参观，近距离接触了中国第一代电影胶片、汕头早期的自来水管配件、中法药房的药罐、“中国感光工业之父”林希之使用过的苏联伏尔加汽车等充满历史印记的老物件。这些展品串起了汕头160多年的工业发展轨迹，让年轻一代深刻领略到汕头工业文化的深厚底蕴。
