The Chaoshan Culinary Skills Special Training Program for Singapore's JUMBO Group Kick off in Shantou

On the morning of April 12, under the theme of "Chaoshan Cuisine Going Global · Inheritance of Craftsmanship", the 2026 Chaoshan Culinary Skills Special Training Program for Singapore’s JUMBO Group officially kicked off at Guangdong Yuedong Technician College. An elite chef team from JUMBO Group, a renowned catering giant in Singapore, embarked on a five-day "root-seeking journey". During their stay, they would study culinary skills, explore the market, and converse with master chefs to jointly explore new pathways for bringing Chaoshan cuisine to the world.


At the opening ceremony, renowned Chaoshan cuisine master Zhong Chengquan delivered the inaugural lecture titled "Understanding the Essence of Chaoshan Cuisine", providing an in-depth analysis of the history and essence of Chaoshan culinary skills. In the subsequent hands-on training sessions, the Singaporean chefs entered the practical training rooms of the Chaoshan Cuisine Cooking College for immersive, hands-on practice of classic dishes such as stewed chicken with Pholidota chinensis, various pan-baked pastries, pies with minced pork, and Chaoshan rice noodle rolls. The team also visited places like Wuji Fuyuan and Longbei Market in Shantou City, and Xixin Market in Chaozhou City, comprehensively decoding the mysteries of the Chaoshan cuisine industry chain from farm fields to dining tables. At a tripartite symposium, the Yuedong Technician College, the Teochew People and Cuisine Research Institute, and JUMBO Group reached a deep consensus on topics such as fusion cuisine development, food ingredient supply chains, and cross-border internship bases.

新加坡珍宝集团潮菜技艺专项培训在汕开班

  4月12日上午,“潮菜出海·匠艺传承”2026新加坡珍宝集团潮菜技艺专项培训在广东省粤东技师学院正式开班,来自新加坡知名餐饮巨头——珍宝集团的精英厨师团队开启了为期5天的“寻根之旅”,他们将在此研修厨艺、探访市场、对话大师,共探潮菜出海新路径。

  开班仪式上,潮菜名家钟成泉以“潮菜心解”为题讲授首课,深度剖析潮菜历史与技艺精髓。在随后的实训中,新加坡厨师们走进潮菜烹饪学院实训室,对石橄榄炖鸡、各类烙品、猪肉饼及潮汕肠粉等经典菜式进行了沉浸式实操。团队还深入汕头吴记富苑、龙北市场及潮州西新市场等地,从田间地头到餐桌厨房,全方位解码潮菜产业链的奥秘。在三方交流座谈会上,粤东技师学院、潮人潮菜研究院与珍宝集团围绕融合菜研发、食材供应链、跨国实习基地等议题达成深度共识。
