On the afternoon of April 15, under the theme of "Bridging Chaoshan and the Chao Phraya River, Fostering Sino-Thai Friendship Through Language", the Tai-language Culture Week, which was hosted by Shantou University, was held at the Sports Park of Shantou University.

The event brought together officials from the Royal Thai Consulate General in Guangzhou, teachers and students from Shantou University, and enterprise representatives to jointly witness the fruitful results of Sino-Thai cultural exchanges. The Culture Week featured a rich variety of activities, including Thai-language speech contests, short video productions, Thai-language calligraphy competitions, and exhibitions of traditional Thai clothing, cuisine, and dance. A symposium on business exchanges for Shantou enterprises expanding into Thailand was also held, vividly demonstrating the vitality of Thai language teaching and the deep integration of Sino-Thai people-to-people and cultural exchanges and economic ties and trade. During the event, representatives from the Royal Thai Consulate General in Guangzhou and Shantou Siam Gas Energy Co., Ltd. donated scholarships to Shantou University to support teaching, scientific research, and academic exchanges. At the conclusion of the event, the Thai representatives drew upon the "water-sprinkling blessing" tradition of the Songkran Festival (Thailand’s traditional New Year festival) as a metaphor, wishing that the Sino-Thai friendship would flow endlessly like water and remain auspicious forever.

汕头大学泰语文化周圆满落幕

　　4月15日下午，由汕头大学主办的“潮韵连湄南，语润中泰情”泰语文化周活动在汕头大学体育园举行。

　　此次活动邀请了泰王国驻广州总领事馆官员、汕头大学师生及企业代表齐聚一堂，共同见证中泰文化交流的丰硕成果。文化周内容丰富，涵盖泰语演讲、短视频制作、泰文书法比赛及泰国服饰、美食、舞蹈展示等环节，并举办了汕头企业赴泰商贸交流座谈会，生动展现了泰语教学的活力与中泰人文经贸交往的深度融合。活动中，泰王国驻广州总领事馆和汕头暹罗燃气能源有限公司代表向汕头大学捐赠奖学金，用于支持教学科研与学术交流。活动最后，泰方代表以宋干节（泰国新年）的“洒水祈福”传统为喻，祝愿中泰情谊如水长流、吉祥永续。
