From May 8 to 11, the 32nd Nan'ao Science Conference, themed the "Symposium on Precision and Intelligent Chemistry and Functional Materials and the Shantou Laboratory Fine Chemical Engineering Innovation Strategy Seminar", was jointly organized by the Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT), Shantou University, and the Guangdong Provincial Laboratory of Chemistry and Fine Chemical Engineering.
On the morning of May 9, the opening ceremony of the Conference was held in Nan'ao County. Top experts and scholars from over 30 universities and research institutes, including Peking University, the University of Science and Technology of China, and the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, engaged in in-depth discussions centered on the theme of "Precision and Intelligent Chemistry and Functional Materials", aiming to promote technological innovation and the application of advances in precision and intelligent chemistry.
The Conference served as a bridge for interdisciplinary exchange. The participating experts and scholars, coming from fields such as chemistry, materials science, and artificial intelligence, shared their professional experiences, exchanged cutting-edge ideas, and presented research findings through 19 keynote presentations. In addition to watching the presentations at the main venue, attendees also visited the sub-venue at the Guangdong Provincial Laboratory of Chemistry and Fine Chemical Engineering. Representatives of entrepreneurs in Shantou's fine chemical industry were invited to join special discussions on practical issues such as technology application and industrial transformation. A dedicated roundtable discussion session was set up to provide a space for free exchange among experts from different fields, pooling wisdom and clarifying the direction for the future development of the chemical and chemical engineering industries under the "dual carbon" (carbon peaking and carbon neutrality) goals.

南澳科学会议第三十二次会议举办
5月8日至11日，广东以色列理工学院、汕头大学、化学与精细化工广东省实验室联合举办南澳科学会议第三十二次会议“精准智能化学与功能材料研讨会暨汕头实验室精细化工创新战略研讨会”。
5月9日上午，会议开幕式在南澳举行，来自北京大学、中国科学技术大学、中国科学院上海有机所等30余家高校、科研院所的顶尖专家学者，围绕“精准智能化学与功能材料”主题展开深度研讨，推动精准智能化学技术创新与成果转化。
本次会议搭建了跨学科交流的桥梁。参会的专家学者来自化学、材料、人工智能等领域，通过19场主题报告，分享各自的专业经验、交流最新思想、展示研究成果。除主会场报告外，参会人员还前往化学与精细化工广东省实验室分会场，并邀请汕头市精细化工领域企业家代表，围绕技术落地、产业转化等实践问题展开专项研讨。会议专门设置圆桌讨论环节，为不同领域专家提供了自由交流的空间，为“双碳”背景下化学化工行业的未来发展凝聚智慧、明确方向。
