On May 22, the 6th International Conference on Psychology of Language Learning (PLL6) kicked off in Shantou. This marks the first time this prestigious international academic event has been hosted in China. More than 350 experts and scholars from 150 universities worldwide gathered in Shantou to explore cutting-edge issues in the psychology of language education.
The International Conference on Psychology of Language Learning (PLL) is a biennial authoritative academic conference. Since its inception in 2014, it has grown into a premier exchange platform for global research in the psychology of language learning and teaching. This year's conference is hosted by the International Association for the Psychology of Language Learning and organized by Shantou University. Focusing on the application of positive psychology in language education, this year's conference addresses frontier directions such as the psychology of language learning and teaching, mental and physical well-being of teachers and students, reforms in foreign language education in the AI era, and cross-cultural language education. Through diverse sessions—including keynote speeches, thematic seminars, workshops, and roundtable discussions—the conference serves as an international academic platform for global scholars to exchange ideas and insights, share achievements, and forge partnerships.

5月22日,第六届语言学习心理学国际会议(PLL6)在汕头拉开帷幕。这是该国际学术盛会首次落地中国,来自全球150所高校的350余名专家学者齐聚汕头,共探语言教育心理学前沿议题。
语言学习心理学国际会议(PLL)是双年度权威学术会议,自2014年创办以来,已发展成为全球语言学习与教学心理研究领域的高端交流平台。本届会议由国际语言学习心理学协会主办、汕头大学承办。会议聚焦积极心理学在语言教育中的应用,围绕语言学习与教学心理、师生身心健康、AI时代外语教学变革、跨文化语言教育等前沿方向,设置主旨演讲、专题研讨、工作坊、圆桌会议等多元环节,为全球学者搭建思想碰撞、成果分享、合作对接的国际化学术平台。
