On May 26, Shantou Chenghai District Conference on Innovation-Empowering Development of the Creative Toy Industry, themed "Top Toy Professionals Gathering in Chenghai to Innovate for the Future", was held at the Shantou International Convention and Exhibition Center. Representatives from over 700 enterprises and industry experts gathered to discuss new pathways for the high-quality development of the toy industry, focusing on issues such as AI empowerment and digital transformation.
The conference released the 2025 Chenghai Creative Toy Industry Development Report. The Report shows that Chenghai District currently hosts 68,000 toy production and business entities, including 228 enterprises above designated size, which account for one-third of the world's plastic toy production capacity, with products exported to over 170 countries and regions. In 2025, online transaction volume exceeded RMB 18 billion, representing a year-on-year growth of over 25%.
During the event, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony was held. The Chenghai District Government and the Chenghai Toy Association reached agreements with seven enterprises, including Winner Technology Co., Inc., Beijing Zhipu Huazhang Technology Co., Ltd., and China's three major telecom operators, to jointly build a new ecosystem for the trendy toy and AI-powered toy industries. Additionally, the 2026 Shantou Toys · Trendy Toys Design Competition and the Chenghai District Trendy Toys Products Skills Competition were simultaneously launched, aiming to drive industrial quality enhancement and efficiency boosts through industrial design innovation.

汕头举办玩具创意产业创新赋能发展大会
5月26日，“玩聚新澄·创启未来”汕头市澄海区玩具创意产业创新赋能发展大会在汕头国际会展中心举行，700多家企业代表与行业专家齐聚一堂，围绕AI赋能、数字化转型等议题，共谋玩具产业高质量发展新路径。
大会发布了《2025澄海玩具创意产业发展报告》。报告显示，澄海区现有玩具生产经营单位6.8万家，规上企业228家；拥有全球三分之一的塑胶玩具产能，产品远销170多个国家和地区。2025年线上交易额突破180亿元，同比增长超25%。
大会现场举行了战略合作签约仪式，澄海区政府、澄海玩具协会与汇纳科技、北京智谱华章、三大电信运营商等7家企业达成合作，共同构建潮流玩具、AI玩具产业新生态。会上，2026汕头市玩具·潮玩设计大赛暨澄海区潮玩产品技能大赛同步启动，以工业设计创新驱动产业提质增效。
